PetroNor Inc. is a Cree-owned company established in 2002. It began operations when two energy companies, Les Pétroles Besuum Inc. and Cree Energy Distribution of Canada Inc., operating only in the James Bay region at the time, joined forces.
In 2015, PetroNor Inc. expanded its operations in Abitibi-Témiscamingue by purchasing Produits pétroliers Harricana (1993) Inc. The company continued to grow, and through a partnership formed in 2017 with Suncor Energy Products, it gained a recognized shareholder in the oil industry. In fact, this new shareholder owns the Petro-Canada brand.
A partnership for our growth
Since 2017, PetroNor Inc. has been the exclusive distributor of Petro-Canada products. As an industry leader, it is active in the road and air transportation, construction and forestry and mining resources sectors in the Eeyou Istchee Baie-James and Abitibi-Témiscamingue regions.
At PetroNor Inc., our mission is to distribute all the petroleum products required for our customers’ residential, commercial and industrial operations. Our commitment to our business partners is to carry out our operations with due regard for environmental protection, safety measures and oil industry regulations.
We also engage with the communities where the company has a presence. With the help of our team, we have initiated numerous volunteer and funding activities to carry out sociocultural projects that are important to the communities in which we operate.

PetroNor Inc. operates from business establishments in Mont-Laurier, Val-d’Or, Amos, Grande-Rivière, EM1-A, Radisson and Chisasibi. The company operates a total of four petrol stations and three gas stations.
PetroNor Inc. deploys a fleet of nearly 30 delivery trucks and also provides fuelling services from the La-Grande-Rivière airport to distribute petroleum products and equipment in Northern Quebec. Our company employs over 70 skilled and competent people.
